Pawpaw embodies the special link between the Altitude Jazz Festival and its musical heartland, Lyon.
Born of its abundant breeding ground, the group offers contemporary jazz nourished by Afrobeat and hip-hop, combining free improvisation and contemporary writing, in the tradition of Kamasi Washington, Roy Hargrove and Immanuel Wilkins.
Theirs is a lively, daring and exploratory jazz.
