SkiL’hiver en grand

In the pure light of the Hautes-Alpes, skiing goes beyond turns and slopes. It’s a raw sensation, a breath of crisp air in the lungs, a sparkle in the eye. You come to ski, but you leave transformed.

Downhill skiing, mountaineering, snowboarding, telemark skiing… skiing in all its forms

Landscapes
that move you

Imagine peaks that claw at the sky, a white coat that sparkles like a handful of diamonds, snow renowned for its unique lightness. In the Hautes-Alpes, every descent is a plunge into immensity. To ski here is to touch the very essence of the mountains. For any passionate skier, the Hautes-Alpes is a must, an encounter with perfection.

Resorts
to match your dreams

The Hautes-Alpes’ resorts have been designed for the present and the future, offering the very best in raw beauty: state-of-the-art lifts, environmentally-friendly infrastructures, villages that combine comfort and authenticity. Up here, modernism is at the service of a sustainable future, so that our children and grandchildren can enjoy this magic too. They’re also mythical places for beginners (village resorts), as well as for committed practitioners of freeride, ski mountaineering and ski touring.

Heading for 2030,
the planetary rendezvous

In 2030, the eyes of the world will be riveted on our summits: the Winter Olympics will be written in the snow of the Alps. Serre Chevalier and Montgenèvre will host the 26 freestyle skiing and snowboarding competitions, and almost a third of the medals will be awarded in the Hautes-Alpes. The former Fort des Têtes in Briançon will be refurbished to accommodate almost 500 athletes from all over the world. The promise of a valuable sporting and economic legacy for the department. A historic event that will establish this region as one of the world’s leading playgrounds for snow sports.
